Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek Cool

Quentin Tarantino and J.J.Abrams met to consider the storyline for Star Trek XIV. Apparently Mark L. Smith, Lindsey Beer, and Drew Pearce are in running to write the next Star Trek movie. Now with declining box office returns Star Trek definitely needs more cool.

Mindful of this, J.J. Abrams and Paramount have agreed to Quentin Tarantino's viewpoint that the film be R-rated which the Pulp Fiction director pitched to them. So trekkers get set for plenty of excitement because coolness and R-rated films are Quentin Tarantino speciality! So how can the maestro of R rated films make Star Trek cool? Grittier action scenes which are fun to watch but Deadline and Screenrant have exclusives.

Cool long and Prosper, trekkers

I'd certainly watch that film! R rated - going where no Star Trek has gone before.

I can no longer sit through Tarantino films. Too violent and gory. If he goes all Tarantino on Star Trek... It's good to take in some new ideas, but I wonder if he'll take it in a direction I can't follow.

Seeking out a broader audience perhaps with this move. Some of Tarantino's work I find just strange. Which might go well with strange new worlds. One thing for sure, this move is bold.
You are always welcome in Caneyhead!

The word is Alex that Tarantino has come up with a great idea for a Star Trek movie at Paramount.

The plan Liz is to assemble a writers room of scribes who’ll hear Tarantino’s take and put together a movie.

Hes known for infusing hell fire and fury into his films, Barbara. If it all works out, Tarantino will direct it with Abrams producing.
